Sandstone: Participation

January 11, 2008 – 3:27 pm

So hopefully I’ve gotten you a little excited as to what Sandstone is and what it can offer. If you’re interested, you can grab the current version (so alpha it doesn’t even have a version number!) with

./script/plugin install http://svn.extendviget.com/lab/trunk/plugins/sandstone

On installing the plugin, the sandstone generator runs automatically. When that’s finished, you’ll see the README, which includes instructions on integrating it with your application.

Once you’ve got Sandstone running, feel free to let me know about any questions, comments, bugs, complaints, praise, or anything else - send ‘em all to sandstone@turrean.com

Thanks for sticking with the series this long! And keep watching this space for more resourceful plugin announcements.

  2. Nice! This is what Rails needs. I just downloaded the source and gave it a spin(note that it doesn’t work with sqlite3). Perhaps you should provide a couple of example sites build with Sandstone to give people an idea of what can be done with this. And implementing liquid support would make Sandstone really useful!

  3. Hi Harm,

Liquid’s on the roadmap, though I don’t know when we’ll be getting to it. SQLite support should also be in there at some point, too.

    Thanks for the comment!
