Not much to say for our trip from Rome to Siena (unlike, say, our last day in Rome). We took a cab to the train station, hopped on a train (happily avoiding the sort of aggressive “salesmen” we encountered in Naples), and started off towards Tuscany. Once in Siena, we had to wait for-freaking-ever for a cab to take us to the hotel just outside the walls of Siena, but once we got in we were amazed by the view from the hotel terrace, which overlooked, essentially, a painting of a Tuscan landscape. It was gorgeous.
Lacie and I were both exhausted from the trip, so we made a quick foray into town for dinner (grabbing our first glimpse of the seashell-shaped central piazza, the campo), and hit the sack.
