(Temporary) Signoff

August 27, 2004 – 11:15 pm

Just back from the rehearsal and accompanying dinner - aside: I think I may be in a blogger’s rut. It seems like every other entry (at least) lately begins with me “just being back from” somewhere. While I guess that means that I’m right on top of the action, blogging it as soon as possible after the fact, I’m also wondering if perhaps I should vary things a bit more in the future - maybe take some time to reflect on an event before posting, etc. Oh, well, I’ll worry about that after the wedding :)

The evening’s festivities were great fun, allowing both Lacie and me to see friends we’ve not seen for a while, talk with the people we love, and generally just enjoy the pre-wedding time. I’m at home now, by myself (Lacie’s at her folks’ house for the night), and I’m about ready to hit the sack - I’ve hung up the tux, finished my preparations for tomorrow, and as far as I know I’m good to go. I think, then, that I’ll be off the air for at least tomorrow and very possibly Sunday as well. I’ll try to post a full report of the weekend’s events after the fact, though, so if you’re interested it’ll be there. Thanks for the kind wishes, everyone, and have a great weekend! Oh, and wish me luck on my long run in the morning - it’d suck to show up to the venue with, say, a turned ankle or something.

  2. Hopefully by now, you are already back from a fabulous run and gettin’ excited about seeing your beautiful bride!

    Hearty congrats!

And don’t you DARE post until Sunday at the earliest.

  4. Heh - I went MTB riding the weekend of my bachelor party, and was under strict instructions not to get visibly injured :-) So, have a great time, and I hope that you have many wonderful runs in Italy, and in the years to come.

  6. Best wishes on your new marriage! I’d write all sorts of platitudes here, but I’m sure you’ll get your fill of ‘em over the next couple of days. My own wedding day is something of a blur… I can remember bits and pieces clearly, but most of it is just fuzzy. The biggest bit of advice I can give you is just relax and enjoy it! By this time, preparations should be made, and you can coast through the rest!
