My last squash match as a single!
August 26, 2004 – 10:37 pmOK, the impending wedding is starting to sink in. I was playing squash with Craig a little earlier when I realized that this was my last squash match as a single man. It was not a great match to end my single life on - a good match, yes, but not a great one. Craig won, 3-2 (after being up 2-0).
And why, pray tell, is squash not an Olympic sport? Or racquetball, for that matter? I mean, c’mon - there’s got to be room for a couple of sports in which people run around in an enclosed space while wielding sticks and banging into walls. What’s not to love?

I used to play racquetball a lot while in college. It was a great way to get in a few pot shots at my friends without being too obvious. Now I can’t find anyway to play with so I’m a bit rusty. I’ve never tried squash. Maybe it’s not an olympic sport because it would be hard to televise and it would be hard to bring in a large audience? But I guess they could use a glass enclosed court…
Anyway, just wanted to say a final goodbye to the single Ben. I hope your wedding is a success and most importantly, have fun!

Windsurfing and trampoline gymnastics are olympic sports…but not squash.
That’s just wrong.
