As predicted, this morning's run was far superior to last night's. I'm guessing the lack of a hefty meal beforehand contributed to the goodness, but starting a new audiobook might have kicked in some joy, too. Consider this another entry in the 'lessons learned' list.

So I've now discovered that running half an hour after eating potato gnocchi in a spicy tomato sauce is not such a brilliant idea.... I was able to finish my three miles for the day, but it wasn't the most enjoyable run I've had. Maybe tomorrow morning will be better ...
