It’s getting close to launch time for Basecamp, and the good purveyors have posted
yet another preview.
Obviously, one of the themes behind Basecamp is that conversations (which every project tool needs to facilitate) are well-served by a blog-like interface. I’m wondering if this is the most powerful selling point of the tool. After all, most of the project tools out there now (at least that I’m aware of) don’t make it this easy for people to talk to each other - post and comment, post and comment. All the current tools were developed well before the ‘blog revolution’, so haven’t been able to take full advantage of the medium in the way that it looks like Basecamp will.
With every preview, I get a little more excited to see what the final product will look like…
