House-hunting

So Lacie and I have been looking for a place to live for a few weeks now - checking the paper, driving candidate neighborhoods while peering intently at any rental-sign shaped objects on the side of the road, that sort of thing. We had found a beautiful three-level townhouse, but it was too expensive. We found a cute three bedroom cottage walking distance from a metro station, but it was available too late (I have to be out of my apartment by June 8th, and it wasn’t open until the 30th). Finally, we saw on Saturday a nice little house (three bedrooms, two baths) in a lovely neighborhood about five or ten minutes’ drive from the nearest metro station. Lacie handed in our application yesterday (despite some mild, stress-induced reservations), and I’m going to call the landlord today to see how the processing goes. I can’t wait to move!
